Before I started drinking Noni juice, or any of the "miracle fruit" juices, I was often sick. Even when I thought I wasn’t sick I was still dealing with some sort of sinusitis, skin infection, or other ailment, that I just wasn’t aware of, having had it for so long.

But one day a friend, pointed out to me that, so many things I had thought were normal, were really infections of one form or another, and were actually taxing my own immune system. Just a little support for my immune system would do me a world of good. So I was suggested to try Noni juice.

Of course, none of what I’m saying here today is approved of by the FDA, FTC, the state media, or most of my family. (But that’ll happen when something as wonderful as Noni juice comes along. It kinda threatens their ensconced position as false authorities)

Looking for Noni juice can be a challenge in itself sometimes. It’s not usually sold in traditional grocery stores. Asking a grocery clerk once if their store carried it, I was told "(sniffle) We carry Pepsi. That helps me (sniffle) feel good." But the benefits of Noni are such that it’s worth the effort.

Noni juice can be found at most health food stores. There are lots of brands of Noni juice available. I had been drinking the "Tree of Life" brand. It’s a good thing that drinking Noni juice isn’t about the taste. While "Tree of Life" is a good brand, with a quality product, it leaves a lot to be desired as to the taste.

Coming here to Athens, I found my new friends at "Earth 911″ on Main St (more on them later). The store clerk knew just what I was talking about when I asked if they carried Noni juice. She led me to the spot on the shelf where sat the "Source Naturals" brand of Noni juice (She also had just about anything and everything you could want to support your immune and/or digestive system). I’d never tried Source Naturals before.

I’m glad I did.

While it’s good to have an ounce a day of Noni juice daily, regardless of the normal taste. It’s really good to have an ounce a day of Noni juice that’s no worse tasting than a good prune juice.

Source Naturals uses pear juice to enhance the flavor of their Noni juice. Smart idea. The taste of Noni juice is not for the weak-minded nor is it for anyone who drinks anything just to tickle their taste buds. Drinking Noni juice is about supporting your own immune system and not taste. But, now that someone’s making the taste a lot more palatable, folks are running out of excuses as to why they’re not more proactively responsible for their own health and well-being.

Maybe they could still squawk about price. Noni juice is normally somewhere between $25 and $45 for a 30 to 32 oz bottle. But Source Naturals has improved that too. I got my most recent 32 oz bottle for $22.50 This is quite a savings. Even if the price were double though, I’d still recommend the product, just so you see the benefits of good health.

With the state of the American Health Care system being what it is today, a $25 monthly investment, has a good return if it keeps the doctors away.

Some dry and boring facts about Source Naturals’ brand Noni juice:

"The Noni fruit is used extensively throughout Polynesia and has been traditionally used for it’s health promoting qualities. It is rich in nutritional enzymes, anthraquinones, polysaccharides, phytonutrients, and contains trace amounts of vitamins and minerals that support healthy living. Source Naturals Hawaiian Noni juice is standardized to 30% polysaccharides with 750 mg Noni per oz.

Each one ounce serving of Noni juice contains 15 calories, 4g of carbs, 3 g of sugars, mainly from the pear juice and guava puree for taste. Potassium benzoate (1/10th of 1%) is added as a preservative.

After just three days of using Source Naturals brand of Noni juice, my sinusitis is cleared up again, a cold I’d been fighting is gone, and I sleep better at night.
